The townsite of Skidoo in the mountains west of Death Valley is nothing more now than sagebrush and a few pieces of brick but the road to the townsite was worth the drive for the views to the east out over the valley.

This was the view of Death Valley from the road to the Skidoo townsite. The views were amazing, the townsite was all sagebrush. The Skidoo Road is a gravel road in the mountains on the west side of Death Valley.

Driving on the Skidoo Road to the town site of Skidoo (only sagebrush left now) we stopped at an abandoned mining cabin and photographed this old bed frame, the only thing left inside besides a wine bottle. Skidoo is in the mountains on the west side of Death Valley National Park.

We found this old wine bottle (dated 1917) in an abandoned miner's cabin in Death Valley National Park. I set it up in an opening in the wall before photographing it. Perhaps it is the reason why the cabin and mine were abandoned.

Photographed on the way to the ghost town of Skidoo (nothing left but sagebrush) we photographed this old mining structure though unsure whether it was a cabin or something connected with the working of a nearby mine. This is all on the west side of the Death Valley National Park and in the mountains.
