This was the view from our camp at Robson Pass. We were camped in the open along this stream (our water source) which flows from Adolphus Lake into Berg Lake.

Though only a little way from our camp at Robson Pass, this lake is actually in Alberta and in Jasper National Park. We were camped at Robson Pass and in Mount Robson Provincial Park in British Columbia when the photo was taken by my wife.

My wife photographed these a little way from our camp at Robson Pass. They appear to be Black Bear tracks and were near the lake in the previous photo where the bears apparently came to drink. There were tracks everywhere by the lake but we saw no bears during our time at Robson Pass.

Photographed a little way from our camp at Robson Pass, this is the North American Porcupine, the second largest rodent in North America. It defends itself not only with its quills but with a very strong disagreeable odor. It can be a real nuisance since it chews up anything with salt on it including boots, gloves and tool handles.

This was our destination and our camp at Robson Pass with Rearguard Mountain in the background. We had a choice of campsites in the trees or in the open and opted for the latter on a account of the mosquitoes. My wife is enjoying a cup of tea, reward for a good day of hiking.
