These beautiful wildflowers have a red center when they open which later fades to yellow. A common wildflower in Death Valley, its name is fitting. It was photographed in Warm Springs Canyon.

This small wildflower was in bloom everywhere in Death Valley. This example was photographed along the Warm Springs Canyon Road where we saw more wildflowers than anywhere else in the park.
