We had seen Desert Rock Nettle in other areas of Death Valley National Park and we found them again in the canyon through which we hiked to Darwin Falls.

This is the Desert Rock Nettle, Eucnide urens, a low bushy plant that we found along the Scotty's Castle Road in Death Valley National Park, and in our opinion, one of the most beautiful wildflowers we found in the park.

Though there were not a lot of wildflowers blooming anywhere in Death Valley, we did see many different species. This was one of our favorites, a low bushy plant covered with greenish-white flowers (see inset). Its botanical name is Eucnide urens.
