Wallace Falls are on the North Fork of the Wallace River and within the boundaries of Wallace Falls State Park in the North Cascades near the town of Goldbar. There are a series of nine falls and cascades with three major falls, the Lower, Middle and Upper Falls. The Middle Falls are the most spectacular and the tallest at 265 feet. On our recent hiking trips to Wallace Falls we hiked the trail to the Upper Falls twice, a round trip of five and half or six and a half miles, depending on the trail. We took hundreds of pictures of the different falls and cascades. The picture below shows the Middle Falls of the Wallace River in the North Cascades and Wallace Falls State Park. This new picture shows the base of the falls where the water has hollowed out a a secluded basin from which the water flows away over a series of cascades.
