We ended our hike up Mosaic Canyon in Death Valley National Park at the bottom left of the photo where the tiny figures can be seen. Further progress would have required us to climb a rather steep rock face, which, while not impossible, was more than we wanted to do at the end of long and hot day.

This is another photo from Mosaic Canyon in Death Valley National Park. We hiked there in March and were fascinated by the colors of the rocks. The canyon is well named.

Mosaic Canyon is near Stovepipe Wells in Death Valley National Park. It was one of the best hikes we did in the park with its fabulous water-carved formations.
