While in northern California we stayed in Crescent City but drove from there to the Redwoods in Jedediah Smith State Park and in Del Norte State Park. One of those days we drove south following the Redwoods Highway and though it was very foggy climbed above the fog at one point and stopped for these photos.

One of the days we spent in northern California we drove south on the Redwoods Highway. The day started foggy but we climbed above the fog at one point and took this and many other photos.

Taken along the Redwoods Highway south of Crescent City where we climbed above the heavy fog that lasted most of the day at lower elevations.

After driving through the night we followed the Redwood Highway into northern California. The weather was cloudy with periods of rain and so we did not stop often for photos. This, in fact, was our first photo stop, a turn-off along the Smith River just north of Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park.
