RHH's photos with the keyword: gold coast

This was taken from the parking area near the Cape Byron lighthouse and looks northwest across Byron Bay. The highest peak, I believe, is Mount Warning, a part of the Tweed Range in northern New South Wales.

This is the city of Gold Coast from Burleigh National Park, our first stop on our tour of the Australian coast south of Brisbane. We stopped at Burleigh Head and hiked some of the trails there before heading further south into New South Wales.

On our trip down Australia's Gold Coast we stopped at Byron Bay and drove to Cape Byron to see the lighthouse, but it was so busy there wasn't any parking, and so, to my relief, we drove on after snapping a couple of photos from the car window.

Saturday we explored the Gold Coast of Queensland and New South Wales. One of the places we hiked was Burleigh Heads National Park and these flowers were photographed there. We though them very beautiful but discovered they are considered to be a noxious pest when we looked them up. The plant is a succulent and is native to Madagascar. In Australia it is a garden escape.

Yesterday we drove down the Gold Coast of Australia visiting some of the bays and headlands along the way. This is Byron Bay in New South Wales with Mount Warning the highest peak in the distance. The photo was taken from Cape Byron near the Byron Bay Lighthouse.
