On the same day that some of the family members were in downtown Brisbane my wife and I visited the Brisbane Koala Bushlands, a natural area south of Brisbane. We hoped to see Koalas there but only saw their markings on the trees. We did have a pleasant walk and saw a number of new birds and enjoyed the native flora.
