These are baby Saltwater Crocodiles, very cute when they are this size, but not so cute when a little larger. These are less than 30 cm (12 inches) but will grow to 6 m (nearly 20 feet) in the case of a large adult male. These are all the babies left from a clutch of eggs numbering 40-60, and around 15 hatchlings. They were photographed on the Daintree River.

Seen along the Daintree River while on a wildlife cruise, this is a female Saltwater Crocodile, though I don't remember how you tell the difference between male and female - very carefully, I guess.

Photographed on the Daintree River, I believe this is the Little Pied Cormorant, though the boat owner called it a Little Cormorant. We did a wildlife cruise on the Daintree River, the main focus of which was Saltwater Crocodiles, but we saw a number of birds as well.

Seen along the Daintree River, this Saltwater Crocodile is around four meters long. We went yesterday on a boat trip to see the crocodiles and saw over a dozen of them including some babies. Saltwater Crocodiles are also known as Estuarine Crocodiles. They grow to over five meters long and live for up to seventy years. This one was very friendly and spent the whole time smiling at us.
