Photographed in the tide pools along the Oregon coast on the third day of our trip down the coast.

The American Herring Gull or Smithsonian Gull is considered to be a subspecies of the European Herring Gull. This one was photographed at Boiler Bay along the Oregon coast as we made our way south to Yaquina Head.

I've tentatively identified this gull, photographed along the Oregon Coast, as a Slaty-backed Gull, but would like to be corrected by anyone who knows better if my identification is incorrect.
