Jack-in-the-Pulpit was one of the botanical treasures we found at Dowagiac Woods Nature Sanctuary in southeastern Michigan. We had found it in another park further north but were delighted to find it again. We were at Dowagiac Woods with our oldest daughter at the beginning of our long trip home to Washington.

This strange flower is known, for obvious reasons, as Jack-in-the pulpit. We found them blooming at a park in western Michigan, Aman Park, that we visited recently while in Michigan for a wedding and to see family.

This is the flower of Arisema triphyllum, Jack-in-the-pulpit. We photographed them in Aman Park, along Sand Creek, in western Michigan.

This is the flowering stalk of Jack-in-the-pulpit, an unusual plant we found and photographed near Sand Creek in western Michigan while we were there visiting family.
