This was photographed along Klamath Beach Road in northern California near an old WWII installation that we had gone to visit.

Photographed along the beach in the area of Cape Perpetua, Oregon, these are Seep-spring Monkeyflowers.

The Seep-srping Monkeyflower is a common spring wildflower in our area but always lives up to its name. It is always found in wet areas. This example was photographed in Washington Park near the coast, but the plant is found at much higher elevations where it blooms much latter.

The Seep-spring Monkeyflower, Mimulus guttatus, is a very common wildflower in our area, but always beautiful. These were photographed along the Hurricane Ridge Road in Olympic National Park.

The next few days I'll be posting some wildflower pictures from Washington Park on Fidalgo Island. These were taken several weeks ago on our first visit to the park for the year.
