RHH's photos with the keyword: cascade aster

When I hiked the Chain Lakes trail I found only a few of these asters and a few fireweed still blooming. I've identified it as the Leafybract Aster but it could be one of several different species.

One more shot of a wildflower that was blooming everywhere in Mount Rainier National Park. This is Aster ledophyllus and the photo was taken at Paradise.

I did not key this out when the picture was taken so I am not completely sure of the ID, but believe it to be correct. These were everywhere in the meadows at Paradise and along the roads when we visit Mount Rainier National Park.

The identification on this is a bit tentative since these Asters are difficult to distinguish and I did not take the time to key it out. The Cascade Aster is is Aster ledophyllus. This was photographed along the roadside near Narada Falls in Mount Rainier National Park..
