Thought I'd post something a little different today. These were photographed on a spring outing to Vancouver, British Columbia, to Queen Elizabeth Park where we explored the Bloedel Conservatory and walked a bit out in the park.

This was taken on a hillside along the trail around Anderson Lake. A trip to the state park of that name was part of a recent visit to the Olympic Peninsula, and as is often the case I ended up taking pictures of anything I could find while waiting for my wife to catch up after taking some pictures of her own. The previous picture shows why she sometimes takes so long and why she often gets better pictures than I do.

This was taken on a recent trip in the morning as the sun was rising after a night of rain. It was shot into the sun and is sooc except for some cropping. No flower pictures today or any other day this week. I'll be posting some recent shots of things other than flowers since I'm a bit weary of flower pictures. I very much appreciate those who take the time and make the effort to comment and to comment meaningfully and those especially who have become friends here on Flickr. I try to respond in kind to all comments, favorites and awards (from groups in which I've posted a picture), and I try to do so as soon as I can. I generally do not accept invitations to join groups or post pictures in groups, especially those in which I am not already a member and those that require commenting. I don't mind the invites, but rarely accept them. I periodically go through my list of contacts and delete those that are inactive. I do NOT pay any attention to pictures that are mailed to me to look at by people who otherwise have nothing to do with my photostream. I do not comment on or favorite your pictures unless you have already done so to mine - I've wasted too much effort on pictures and people who are only interested in getting as many awards as they can and show no interest in my photostream.
