This was photographed along the trail to Poodle Dog Pass and Silver Lake in the North Cascades and in the Henry M. Jackson Wilderness. My wife, who is fascinated by fungi, found it, but the photo is mine. This has been identified by mdv_graupe as Gomphus floccosus, Woolly Gomphus. It was photographed on a recent hike in the Mount Baker area on the trail to Heliotrope Ridge.
