This is, I believe, Henderson's Shooting Star, Dodecatheon hendersonii, photographed in Washington Park on Fidalgo Island where it blooms profusely near the seaside.

If I have this identified correctly, it is a rather rare wildflower found only in Oregon, Washington and British Columbia. I stand to be corrected, however on the ID.
