This is Connors Lake in the Sinlahekin Natural Area just east of the Cascades. We were there last summer after visiting other sites in eastern Washington looking for native orchids.

This is where we were this morning, at Connors Lake in Sinlahekin Wildlife Area. We were on our way back from eastern Washington and stopped here for a couple of hours. It had rained during the night and the fog was still hanging over the lakes and in the valleys.

Taken in the Sinlahekin Natural Area of eastern Washington early in the morning on an orchid hunting trip. The area is long north-south valley on the east side of the Cascades and rather remote. There were few people around when we visited. The lake is Connor Lake at the north end of the valley.
