First, my apologies for being so tardy in responding to visits and comments. There have been several things that came up that needed to be dealt with and I am behind with everything as a result. The photo is of Upper Gaylor Lake, taken on a hike in the northern part of Yosemite National Park. The panorama was taken with my phone, something I do only occasionally.

Taken on our hike to Middle and Upper Gaylor Lakes in Yosemite, tentatively identified as Whitebark Pine, Pinus albicaulis.

On our third morning in Yosemite we drove from our campsite to Tuolumne Meadows to do some hiking there, stopping at Olmstead Point for photos and breakfast. This was the view of Half Dome that morning as we watched the sunrise.

Our hike to Gaylor Lakes took us up over a ridge and down to Middle Gaylor Lake, shown here. We hiked on from here to Upper Gaylor Lake and into the surrounding mountains to the now abandoned Great Sierra Silver Mine.
