Last year on our way to San Antonio and Big Bend National Park in southwest Texas, we stopped for a day at Garner State Park on the Rio Frio near Concan. When we lived in Texas many years ago we would take our family holidays on the Rio Frio, a shallow, cold and clear river.

Last spring, on our way to Big Bend National Park, we stopped for a day in Garner State Park on the Rio Frio near Concan, Texas, and spent the day hiking and bird watching. This was the Crystal Cave trail, one of the trails we hiked.
