These were photographed along the road as we drove to the trailhead for Wall Street Mill. The mill is an old gold mining millin Joshua Tree National Park.

I am not at all sure about the identification of this wildflower, but have it as the Golden Aster, Heterotheca villosa. It was found and photographed in Joshua Tree National Park.
