This is where we went today to celebrate our anniversary, Chihuly Garden and Glass, a long-term exhibition by artist Dale Chihuly at the Seattle Center and in the shadow of the Space Needle. It is a must-see for anyone visiting Seattle and both the indoor exhibits and the outdoor garden were beyond description. This photo shows the centerpiece of the exhibition, the Glasshouse with its hanging sculptures and the outdoor piece simply named "Sun." We spent five hours at the exhibit and could have spent many more, in fact, would have liked to have seen the outdoor exhibits at night when lighted. This photo is taken inside the Glasshouse at the Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibition and shows the Space Needle looming over the exhibition through the hanging sculptures inside the Glasshouse. The glasshouse was covered at the top with some sort of shadecloth that made it impossible to get clear shots of the Space Needle.
