This is an unnamed creek that feeds Thunder Creek several miles in along the Thunder Creek trailhead in the North Cascades. The Park Service has built a bridge across the creek because it is too dangerous to cross otherwise. ronaldhanko-orchidhunter.blogspot.com/2012/06/thunder-cre...

Taken on a recent hike along the Thunder Creek Trail. My youngest brother, Tim, and my wife were the other hikers and we did about 10 miles. Took this because I was intrigued by the patterns the fern fronds made. Thanks to Fizgig for the ID. ronaldhanko-orchidhunter.blogspot.com/2012/06/thunder-cre...

Taken on a recent hike with my youngest brother and my wife. This is near the outlet of the creek, where it empties into Diablo Lake, but further up in the mountains it is a wild torrent, especially at this time of the year. ronaldhanko-orchidhunter.blogspot.com/2012/06/thunder-cre...

Photographed on a hike with my wife and my brother along the Thunder Creek Trail in the North Cascades. These flowers are just beginning to fade, evidenced by the purplish color in the center of the flower which turns completely pink or rose-red as it ages. ronaldhanko-orchidhunter.blogspot.ca/2012/06/thunder-cree...
