This is a common wildflower near our home and I believe it is Delphinium depauperatum, Meadow Larkspur, though I have not keyed it out.

The Upland Larkspur, Delphinium nuttalianum, is a very common but beautiful spring wildflower. There were photographed along the North Cascades Highway in the area west of Winthrop, Washington.

Menzies' or Coastal Larkspur is a common spring wildflower here, but always beautiful. Its botanical name is Delphinium menziesii and it grow 30-40cm tall. The pictures I've posted today were taken in the Columbia River Gorge this spring. This, I believe is the Upland Larkspur, Delphinium nuttalianum.
