The Steam Plant was built in the early 1900's to produce steam heat for a number of buildings in central Spokane. Before being shut down in the early 1980's due to maintenance costs it produced steam for thirty-eight buildings. In the 1990's it was old an refurbished as a hotel, conference center and restaurant. This photo was taken with my phone when we were there for dinner with family members just before Christmas.
