RHH's photos with the keyword: monkeyflower

Also known as the Great Purple Monkeyflower, this is one of the wildflowers we photographed in Dunraven Pass north of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and on the northeast side of the park.

This was photographed along Klamath Beach Road in northern California near an old WWII installation that we had gone to visit.

Photographed along the beach in the area of Cape Perpetua, Oregon, these are Seep-spring Monkeyflowers.

There were not many wildflowers still blooming when we did the Railroad Grade trail on September 2, but we did find these Great Purple Monkeyflowers or Lewis' Monkeyflowers, Erythranthe lewisii, in a damp area.

The Seep-srping Monkeyflower is a common spring wildflower in our area but always lives up to its name. It is always found in wet areas. This example was photographed in Washington Park near the coast, but the plant is found at much higher elevations where it blooms much latter.

Photographed near the trailhead to Lake Ann in the Mount Baker Area. This photo is also the result of "focus stacking" (see the next photo of Phalaenoipsis Mini Mark) and is a combination of three photos. These are several of my first efforts.
