The photo is from Lillian Ridge along the trail to Grand Lake in Olympic National Park. The trailhead is at the end of the Obstruction Point Road, a narrow gravel road that is usually note snow free until July. The flowers are a Potentilla (Cinquefoil) species. This area is one of our favorite places in Olympic National Park.

This is the Olympic Larkspur, Delphinium glareosum, photographed on Lillian Ridge in Olympic National Park.

This is Lillian Ridge, the area we hiked near Hurricane Ridge in the Olympics. Our trail is visible in the foreground and this was where we lost about 4000 feet of elevation in several miles all of which we had to make up again as we hiked out. We had hiked along the ridge and were on our way to Grand Lake.

Photographed on the Lillian Ridge Trail. This trail runs from the end of the Obstruction Point Road, a long gravel road that runs southeast from Hurricane Ridge into some of the most beautiful areas of the Olympics.
