This hybrid Paphiopedilum (Lady's Slipper or Venus' Slipper) has four different species in its background. I've grown it for a number of years and it blooms faithfully in the spring.

This is an older picture, one of the first taken with a macro lens, at that time a Tamron 90mm 2.8, since replaced with the Canon 100mm 2.8. Paphiopedilum China Dragon is a cross of Paph. Nisqually and Paph. China Song.

In Explore November 29, 2009, #426. This is a hybrid of Paphiopedilum Nisqually and Paphiopedilum China Song. It is one of my favorite Paphs both for its bizarre coloring and for its beautifully patterned foliage (not shown). The name "Paphiopedilum" means "Venus' Slipper," and it is one of the tropical slipper orchids.
