This is the chapel at the Normandy American Cemetery near Colleville-sur-Mer and Omaha Beach. The cemetery has 9,388 graves of those killed on D-Day and after.

My wife and I were in C0olorado for a few days in October and went up into the Rockies one of those days for some sightseeing and a drive. Following Highway 7 south we visited St. Catherine's Chapel on the Rock, a Roman Catholic chapel, open to visitors. We had failed to get into Rocky Mountain National Park since they now have a system of timed entries, and a drive south was the only alternative we could think of.

This chapel is one of the features of Grand Teton National Park, though it was built long before the park was formed. Services are still held there during the summer months. The chapel has two beautiful stained glass windows and a window behind the alar that looks out over the mountains.

This window is on the west side of the chapel where the altar stands.

If viewed in a large size the name of the artist can be seen in the bottom right corner of the window, "Jessie van Brunt, fecit et dedit (created it and donated it)."

This chapel is used regularly for services and has two beautiful stained glass windows and a long window in the rear that looks out over the mountains. If viewed in a large size the times of services can be seen on the board in front and the name over the door.

This detail shot from the chapel at Northern State Hospital shows that even those buildings that have received some upkeep or are still in use, are also in need of repair. This is the chapel at Northern State Hospital. We could not tell if it was still in use, bit it appeared to be in fairly good repair. It is a good example of the Spanish Revival style in which the hospital and administration buildings were designed and is in the non-agricultural part of the hospital. ronaldhanko-orchidhunter.blogspot.com/2013/01/northern-st...
