Near Denver, this scenic drive is known for its strange and beautiful rock formations. This picture was taken in 1987 with a Minolta SRT201 film camera on Kodachrome 24 slide film.

Taken on a trip east as we were landing in Denver early in the morning. Was intrigued by the patterns and colors and this was the best of my shots. There was just a dusting of snow and that tended to outline all the features of the ground while the early morning shadows increased the contrasts.
