This butterfly was photographed in the tropical house at the Devonian Botanic Gardens in Devon, Alberta, Canada. I have no idea what kind of butterfly it is. Perhaps someone can help with an id.

This photo was edited slightly - the background was cleaned up a bit and some distractions removed and the contrast was slightly tweaked.

In Explore November 12, 2009, #305. This was a new venture for me. While away on business this week, I stayed with my daughter and son-in-law. They keep tropical fish and I spent some spare time trying to photograph the fish in their tank, a more difficult job than I would have thought. This is one of the fish in the largest tank and I believe I have the name correct.

In Explore November 15, 2009, #160. This is another effort at photographing the fish in my son-in-law's aquarium. I found the whole process very difficult indeed and am not really very confident of the results.
