An easy trail through a flat area of Joshua Tree National Park, the Wall Street Mill trail took us to an old gold mining mill and through an area of many Joshua Trees.

When we hiked to Wall Street Mill, a former gold mining mill in the north central part of Joshua Tree National Park we found a lot of evidence of former habitation including old vehicles and remains of dwellings. What this tank was used for we did not discover.

I don't know if this was an attempt at ranching or whether it was connected with mining in the area, but this abandoned windmill and tank were along the trail to Wall Street Mill, a former gold mining mill. There were other remains in the area, as well, a wagon, a car and some buildings.

We visited the site of the old Gargett Mine while on our hike to High Pass. It lies on the south slopes of Mount Larrabee and there is a considerable amount of old equipment and metal near the shaft and on the slopes below. This old tank was below the mine half buried in the talus with Pasque Flowers around it.
