This tiny orchid species is from Colombia. The strange and somewhat obscene flowers measure about 5 mm and gow on fairly long successively flowered inflorescences. It belongs to the group of orchids known as Pleurothallids.

This miniature orchid is from Colombia. It has a mobile lip that moves up to trap an insect against the column and attracts the insect both by the strange shiny growth on the lip and the hairy sepals.
