This butterfly was photographed in the tropical house at the Devonian Botanic Gardens in Devon, Alberta, Canada. I have no idea what kind of butterfly it is. Perhaps someone can help with an id.

In Explore December 6, 2009, #220. Photographed at the Devonian Botanic Gardens, Devon, Alberta. These botanical gardens are an extension of the University of Alberta. The butterflies were above my head and I had to hold the camera above my head and hope I was pointing in the right direction. This is one of the few shots that turned out.

This was taken in the Devonian Botanic Gardens, in Devon, Alberta, near Edmonton. We have a daughter, son-in-law and cute little granddaughter in that area and this is one of our favorite places when we visit them.

This was photographed at the Devonian Botanic Gardens near Edmonton. It is untouched and posted just as it came from the camera. The botanical name for the plant is Pachystachys lutea.
