This si some of the abandoned equipment from the Eureka Mine on the west side of Death Valley. The mine was worked from 1905 to 1945 and was discovered by Pete Aguereberry and Shorty Harris.

Taken from the hill in which the Eureka Mine is found this photo looks down on the area around the mine entrance. The mine is in the Panamint Mountains on the west side of Death Valley National Park.

This was taken at the Eureka Mine(now abandoned) in the Panamint Mountains on the west side of Death Valley where gold was discovered in 1905.

The Eureka Mine was a gold mine in the Panamint Mountains on the west side of Death Valley that operated from 1905 to 1945. This was the crusher mill near the mine and on the other side of the hill (see inset) was the miner's camp, Harrisburg, named for one of the discoverers of gold on the site.
Ashford Mill

These ruins are all that remain of the Ashford Mill, an old gold mining mill on the southern end of Death Valley at an elevation of 121 feet (37 m) below sea level. The mill was used to process ore from the Golden Treasure Mine in the mountains to the east (see inset). This photo was taken near sunset and after photographing the mill and the sunset we had our evening meal there and slept the night there.
