This chapel is used regularly for services and has two beautiful stained glass windows and a long window in the rear that looks out over the mountains. If viewed in a large size the times of services can be seen on the board in front and the name over the door.

Sarcochilus Southern Cross

This is not my plant, but a plant I photographed at the Mount Baker Orchid Society Show last year. In the records I took at the time I have this as S. Sarcross, but I can find no record of a hybrid with this name, and believe it is actually S. Southern Cross. By any name, however, it is beautiful. The flowers, if I remember correctly, are about the size of dime and the plants are quite small. One thing worth noting is the difficulty of getting good photos at an orchid show. Not only are the plants massed for effect, but there are often tags and ribbons from judging and backgrounds that are unsuitable for photos, and since the plants have to be photographed in place it is difficult and sometimes impossible to get decent photos. orchidsinbloom-ron.blogspot.com/2011/03/mount-baker-orchi...
