Not my usual orchid - it's not a miniature nor does it grow in my Wardian case. It grows on a bathroom window sill and is one of just a few Phalaenopsis I own. More pictures, including a close-up of the lip, can be found here along with further information: orchidsinbloom-ron.blogspot.com/2011/06/phalaenopsis-be-t... . Phalaenopsis are native to south-east Asia and are one of the most hybridized orchids in existence and are often sold in the box stores and supermarkets. They prefer warm temperatures and good light, though not direct sunlight, and produce long-lasting flowers in many shades. If well grown they can be in flower year around.
