We had previously seen these beautiful lilies in Jasper National Park in Canada and were surprised to see them in Michigan along the Lake Huron Shore

Lilium philadelphicum, the Wood Lily, is a low-growing lily with a wide range in Canada and the USA. These were photographed in Banff National Park near Canmore.

This is the Wood Lily, Lilium philadelphicum, photographed along the Maligne Lake Road in Jasper National Park. Though this grows taller in some areas, where we found it the plants did not exceed a foot and half (45cm). It is quite common in western Alberta and has a wide range in Canada and the USA.
