I've been trying some creative orchid photography using different lighting and angles. The three pictures I've posted were taken using a small penlight to highlight the flowers. In this picture I also used a shallow depth of field to bring out the little red hairs on the edges of the flower.

In Explore September 1, 2011, #351. A miscellany of pictures today for no other reason that I'm a bit out of sorts and didn't know what to post. I suppose that the four pictures could be titled "Small Nature" though the Shoebill is not so small.
