One of the few wildflowers we saw in Yosemite National Park, this the Common Buttercup, photographed near Upper Gaylor Lake.

The only visitors we had while staying at Warm Springs Camp in Death Valley were birds, lizards and this Jackrabbit. The camp is abandoned and many miles up a rough dirt track that beyond Warm Springs was too rough for our vehicle and while we saw a couple of vehicles pass the camp no one elsestayed.

This Jackrabbit or American Desert Hare was photographed in Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge in Nevada. It is a common animal in the western USA and in Mexico.
