This Douglas C-47 Skytrain transport took part in the D-Day landings June 6, 1944. It was used to tow a paratroop glider to the landing areas. It was rescued in 2007 from an airfield in Bosnia and restored and painted in its original colors.

The plane was rescued from an airfield in Bosnia in 2007 and restored to its original D-Day colors and is on display at the Merville Museum. The propeller in the foreground is from a Dakota that crashed on D-Day killing all aboard.
