Bee Fly on Piggyback Plant

Last week a friend and I hiked the Yellow Aster Butte Trail in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. It was a beautiful day and we were treated to spectacular views of Mount Baker and Mount Shuksan and saw many wildflowers as well including this one.
These are the flowers of what is also a popular house-plant, Tolmeia menziesii, referred to as "Mother of Thousands," "Youth on Age," and "Piggyback Plant," which is native to this area. The flowers themselves are intricate and beautiful, but I was fortunate to get this Bee Fly on one of the flowers.
The photo is completely untouched and is posted exactly as it came from the camera. The composition could have been better (I don't like the rainbow-like blade of grass in the background), but it hard to think about composition when you are try to catch an insect that's flitting around from flower to flower.
The diary of our hike can be found here: ronaldhanko-orchidhunter.blogspot.com/2010/07/yellow-aste...
