Also known as Masdevallia dynastes, this odd little species is from Ecuador. The flowers are 2 cm from end to end and the plant 10 cm tall. It belongs to a group of orchids, found in Central and South America, collectively known as Pleurothallids.

Bucella dynastes, also known as Masdevallia dynastes, is from Ecuador. It is one of the smaller "Masdevallias," four inches tall with half inch flowers on spikes that hold the flowers just above the leaves.
