Herman Saddle lies to the west of Artist's Point between Mount Herman (to the right in the photo) and Table Mountain (to the left). Below it in the valley is Upper Bagley Lake. The area is popular for hiking in the summer and one of the best trails follows the far shore of Upper Bagley Lake along the lower slopes of Mount Herman, through Herman Saddle and down to Chain Lakes before heading round the other side of Table Mountain.

I have just one more photo to post from our snowshoeing trek to Artist's Point, so those who hate snow or are tired of these pictures do not have to endure much more. This is another photo from that trek showing the slopes of Mount Herman across the valley to the west. This photo was taken from near Artist's Point, but looks to an area we have hiked during the autumn. The trail we hiked comes up from the left and goes through the saddle and down to Chain Lakes. The picture below looks back from the saddle towards Mount Shuksan. In the winter scene we are farther up on the right of that autumn picture and snowshoed up a trail that more or less follows the road that is visible in the distance.
