This is another orchid from New Guinea, one of the group of Dendrobiums known as Oxyglossums. This species is very small with tiny flowers that are nearly transparent. In this picture the nectar in the spurs of the flowers can clearly be seen. This orchid is just a little tuft of plant with tiny flowers, the plant two inches tall (6 cm) and the flowers three quarters of an inch (2 cm). It belongs to the Oxyglossum group of Dendrobiums and is supposed to be tolerant of warmer temperatures since it is found from low to high elevations.
