Taken on the way home from eastern Washington along Interstate 90 somewhere east of Moses Lake.

Driving through Montana this summer we stopped at night to watch a forest fire that was burning along Interstate 90 west of Missoula. Looking on the internet later we thought this was probably the West Mullan fire. It did not appear to be a very large fire, but was rather spectacular in the dark. Pictures were difficult, since we were too tired to get out tripods and hand-held shots turned out to be quite blurry. I wish now that I had used a tripod. In any case this was the best picture I was able to get and am posting it as a reminder of the many wildfires that are burning in California, Idaho, Washington and elsewhere at moment. Especially the Yosemite fire is of concern since it is destroying some of the moist beautiful areas of that park. ronaldhanko-orchidhunter.blogspot.com/2013/08/montana.html
