I am done with pictures from the Chihuly Graden and Glass Exhibition (some of you are probably breathing a sign of relief) and hope now to post some pictures of the miniature orchids I grow including pictures of some of the plants in flower. Here, then, is Buccella molossoides, formerly Masdevallia molossoides, from Ecuador. It is tiny plant with flowers only slightly over a centimeter in size. My plant was a awarded a Certificate of Horticultural Merit at the Northwest Orchid Society Show in April. Owen is our grandson from Edmonton. He is not yet a year old. We love him as much as his sister, but I did not get as many pictures of him when I was in Edmonton recently, partly because he is usually either eating or napping, partly because he is not yet quite a photogenic as his sister.
