These are Arctic Gentians photographed along the East Snwomass trail in the Colorado Rockies.

Gentiana calycosa, also known as Explorer's Gentian, is our most common alpine Gentian, blooming late in the summer in boggy areas. These were photographed at Paradise in Mount Rainier National Park.

Also called Explorer's Gentian, Gentiana calycosa is very common in some areas of the Cascades. We found it in abundance both along the Mount Rainier Highway and at Paradise, but always growing in wet areas. ronaldhanko-orchidhunter.blogspot.com/2013/10/mount-rainier.html
