I believe this is the Upland Larkspur, Delphinium nuttalianum. Found in the sandstone canyons around Leavenworth and very common through the Pacific Northwest. ronaldhanko-orchidhunter.blogspot.com/2013/05/orchid-hunting-in-leavenworth-area.html

Here are a few more pictures from our Manastash Ridge Hike. These two flowers were often growing together in the shadier areas of the Boyscout Trail, the trail we followed down from the ridge. The Slender Woodland Star is Lithophragma tenellum and the Upland Larkspur is Delphinium nutallianum. Further details of our hike can be found at: ronaldhanko-orchidhunter.blogspot.com/2010/06/manastash-r...

Photographed on the mesa at Ancient Lakes, the Upland Larkspur, Delphinium nuttallianum was just beginning to bloom in some sunny areas. I believe I have the identification correct, but if not I hope someone will correct me. ronaldhanko-orchidhunter.blogspot.com/2013/04/ancient-lak...
