One of the nicest things about the city of San Antonio, Texas, is its riverwalk. The walk follows the river as it meanders through the city, usually on both sides of the river, sometimes only on one. It is at the level of the river for the most part and the noise and bustle of the city seem far away. There are cafes and other businesses that can be accessed and bridges to cross from one side of the river to the other as in this photo. After checking into our guest house we followed the riverwalk through the city to the Alamo. All the photos are from that excursion and since I couldn't choose any one to post I just posted all the better ones.

This is the riverwalk near downtown San Antonio, Texas, a pleasant walk through the city that is for the most part below the noise and busyness of the city. The walk is lined with plants, flowers, gardens and statuary and is also a cool retreat from the heat of summer in the city.
